Our Grades 4 – 5 went on their first field trip to the Missions of San Juan Capistrano as it aligned with one of their Social Studies units. This school year, our goal is to connect field trips and classroom learning and curriculum. These field trips are excellent opportunities to provide students with experiences beyond the four walls of their classroom. Our students returned to school excited about the connections they have made and expressed how meaningful the day had been. We plan to provide these opportunities to other grade levels throughout the spring. We thank all our parent volunteer drivers who have made this field trip possible.
We had a blast celebrating Lunar New Year. This year, we enjoyed Chinese cultural activities and learned more about how our Vietnamese and Korean families celebrate the Lunar New Year. It was great fun for everyone as we welcome the Year of the Rabbit. We thank FAPA and all parent volunteers for taking the time to support this event and serving the schoolwide Chinese meal everyone enjoyed.
