The Frontiers Academy Scholars program honors students who have demonstrated academic success and leadership skills in their previous school environments, and who demonstrate qualities of a Frontiers Academy Learner Outcomes. Scholars are students with the capacity to raise the level of scholarship in their classes, and to positively influence the community. All scholars enter Frontiers Academy with the intention of pursuing the Global Seal of Biliteracy in both Mandarin and Spanish, therefore strong language proficiencies are essential. In addition to the regular application requirements, candidates must submit a scholarship essay, teacher recommendation.
Eligibility: Students applying to grades 2, 4, and 5.
Award: Scholarship amounts vary from $ 5,000 - $10,000.
Students who are eligible for the scholarship award will demonstrate:
High academic achievement
Strong performance on standardized tests/assessments
Involvement in meaningful activities outside the classroom
All are awarded for the duration of 2 school year. Students must remain in good standing in school community academically and behaviorally in order to retain their award the following year.
The number of awards varies annually depending on the composition of the applicant pool, available space within a grade and available resources.
Scholarship Application Process
Complete the Admissions Application and answer additional questions specific for Scholarship Award applicants.
Complete Admissions Assessment focused on Math, English Language Arts, Mandarin, and Spanish
Participate in Interview and Student Visit Day
Provide complete school transcripts
Provide three Teacher Evaluation forms
Provide letter of recommendation from School Administrator (Principal/Head of School)
